We custom-cut your lights
Every strand is cut to your eaves and peaks, so the bulbs turn the corners cleanly and there is no dead tail hanging off the end. Cords are hidden. Clips, not nails.

Our crew installs in one visit, sets the timer, and texts you a photo that night. The balance is charged after install, never before.

Started in Temecula. Built around a straight answer.
Ram started CaliClaus in Temecula in 2026. Before that he spent years building lead-generation systems for home-service companies: roofers, bath remodelers, deck builders. He watched thousands of calls come in and saw the same thing over and over in the Christmas light business: homeowners who wanted a straight answer and got a "we'll come out and take a look" instead. A week later, maybe a quote. By then the neighbors were already lit.
So CaliClaus was built the other way around. Send us the house and we pull it up on satellite, measure the roofline, and get you a custom quote fast. You sign and pay the deposit from your phone. The crew shows up with strands already cut to your eaves.

Most installers sell you lights, charge for labor, then charge again for takedown and again for storage. We do not sell you anything. CaliClaus owns commercial-grade C9 sets, cuts one to fit your house, and leases it to you for the season on one custom quote.

The lead installer
Runs the ladder and the layout. Cuts each strand to the house, clips every bulb so it sits straight, outlines every peak, and routes cords where you will never see them. Signs off on the photo before the truck leaves.
The service tech
Handles the 48-hour fixes: a dark section after a storm, a timer that drifted, a bulb a bird got to. Also runs the January takedowns and checks every set back into storage under your name.

Things people ask on the phone
How fast can I get a Christmas light quote?
Fast. Ram pulls up your house on satellite, measures the roofline, and gets you a custom quote, usually the same day. Send the form on this page and he calls you back within the hour during business hours.
Is the deposit refundable?
Yes, right up until we cut your lights. Every set is custom-cut to your roofline, so once your strands are cut the deposit covers those materials. Before that, cancel by text and it comes back in full.
What if it rains on my install day?
Light rain, we install. Heavy rain, high wind, or lightning, we move you to the next dry day and text you first thing that morning. You keep your place in line, and there is never a charge for a weather reschedule.
Do I need to be home?
No. We need one working exterior outlet and access to the front of the house. Most installs happen while you are at work. You pull into the driveway and it is lit.
What about my gutters, roof, and stucco?
Lights attach with clips made for the job: gutter clips on the gutter lip, shingle clips under the shingle edge, and tile clips that sit under the tile on Spanish roofs. No nails, no staples, no screws, no holes in the stucco. We photograph the roofline before we start and after we finish.
My HOA is strict. Is this allowed?
Seasonal roofline lighting is permitted in nearly every HOA in San Diego County, Orange County, and Riverside County. If yours limits dates, tell us when you book and we schedule the install and the takedown inside that window.
When do the lights come down?
January, without you asking. Takedowns start January 2 and wrap up by the end of the month. You get a text the day before we come. Please do not pull them yourself; the strands are cut to your house and we would like them back in one piece.
Is next year the same?
Yes. Your set is stored under your name and rehung the next season at the same rate, as long as your roofline has not changed. We check in each fall. Nothing is charged until you say yes, and you can opt out any time.
